North Dakota State University Department of 植物科学 assistant professor Bingcan陈 was awarded the Outstanding Young Scientist in honor of Samuel Cate Prescott from the Institute of 食物 Technologists (IFT) during the IFT-食物 Improved by 研究, Science and Technology (FIRST) Annual Event and Expo, which took place virtually and in person at McCormick Place in Chicago, 7月10日, 2022.

To celebrate their 25th anniversary, the 美国 Department of Energy (DOE) Joint Genome Institute (JGI) has featured work done by North Dakota State University Department of 植物科学 professor of dry bean genomics and genetics Phil McClean and colleagues. 的 team completed the sequencing and analysis of the common bean genome which is significant because dry beans are an excellent source of protein and provide income potential for poverty alleviation worldwide.
